I had the same doubt but found what it actually does. Imagine the cumulative percentages represented as a pie chart(roulette wheel), “pick” is a random percentage(the arrow that points a position in the wheel), you need to choose the block which the arrow is pointing, so the first time the condition passes the pointing block is selected and the loop is aborted.
